FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NFA Response To MONS Statement

Nassau, The Bahamas – The NFAB paid keen attention to the comments made by the Minister of National Security about the responsible liberalization of firearm access in The Bahamas.

As proponents of the sporting and competitive use of firearms, we recognize their limited usefulness in self-defense and hope that Bahamians will take advantage of the physical training opportunities as well as the ethical and legal ramifications of their use.

Our area of specialization is the civilian training in the proper use of firearms, and we offer national and international certifications in the use of rifles, shotguns, and handguns. Our entire staff of instructors are qualified to lead these programs.

We applaud and support efforts made by this administration to improve current oversight and regulations of firearm use and we look forward to supporting the Ministry of National Security in this initiative and we are poised and ready to assist.
