COURSE DESCRIPTION:

When active violence occurs, seconds count, and you can't always wait for law enforcement or EMS to arrive. AVIRT was developed by law enforcement and medical experts to empower everyone to become an immediate responder in a violent or emergency situation. We must know how to prepare ourselves, our co-workers, families, and communities. This course will focus on how to be prepared and gain the skills needed to prevent, recognize, and increase your ability to survive during and such incident. The AVIRT training program is intended for a general audience and increases survival and save lives. The program includes cognitive information and participation in activities that help to prepare participants for possible active violence events and how to react to improve the likelihood of survival. The goal of this training program is to help participants develop the knowledge and confidence to react quickly if active violence should occur.

COURSE LENGTH: 4hrs (based on class size)

COURSE FORMAT: Classroom setting by multiple certified instructors. Preferably at the business location.

COURSE OUTCOMES: Confidently trained team. International Certification (2 yrs)
